Makes 1
Ingredients:
Pizza:
2. 2 TBS mascarpone cream
3. 1/2 potato sliced thin
4. 2 TBS mozzarella cheese grated
5. Sprinkling of dried herbs such as rosemary, thyme or basil (optional)
6. Salt & pepper to taste
7. 1 TBS spoon of durum flour for dusting
Mascarpone Cream:
1. 150g mascarpone
2. 100g cream (piskefløde)
3. 1 clove garlic minced
4. 1 TBS olive oil
5. 1 tsp lemon juice
6. Salt & pepper to taste
7. 1 TBS basil chopped (optional)
Directions:
Pizza:
1. Slice potato thin, and soak them in water or salt water for 10 mins to remove the starch.
2. Pre-heat oven to 250 degree C.
3. Spread mascarpone cream on the pizza.
4. Spread grated mozzarella cheese on the pizza.
5. Place potato slices on top of the cheese.
6. Sprinkle some herbs such as rosemary, thyme , etc. on top.
7. Sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper to taste.
8. Sprinkle some olive oil on top of the pizza.
9. Bake for 5-8 minutes or until golden and you can smell the aroma of the pizza.
Mascarpone Cream:
1. Mix 150g mascarpone, 100g cream (piskefløde), 1 clove garlic minced, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt and pepper together.
2. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon and mix well.
3. Taste and adjust more salt, lemon juice or garlic accordingly. If you want a strong taste, you can add chopped basil or thyme too.
Additional Information.
We made this pizza for dinner today. Daddy FECS and J both like them. C likes them too. We made such white pizza before using only mascarpone cream, and they didn't taste so good. C learned how to make this pizza from the Cook Camp. The mascarpone sauce is made using a few ingredients. You can find the recipe here.
To make the Mascarpone Cream:
You can buy Mascarpone from the cheese section of Føtex Supermarket
150g mascarpone
100g cream (fløde)
Salt and
Pepper to taste
1 TBS olive oil
1 clove garlic minced
Mix well and ready to be used for Pizza Bianco :-)
To make the pizza:
Dust a portion of the pizza dough with some Durum flour
To form your pizza, roughly follow the above steps or use a rolling pin.
With a layer of baking paper in between (so as to avoid mess)
Roll it out into a pizza dough.
Add a tablespoon of mascarpone cream
Spread them out until the edges, like this:
Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese.
Add slices of potatoes on top of the cheese.
Add slices of potatoes on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle some herbs e.g. dried rosemary or fresh chopped basil (optional).
Sprinkle a bit of salt
And pepper to taste.

Drizzle a bit of olive date on top.
Bake at 250 deg C for 5-8 mins (we baked ours for 5 mins).
