Toy of the Day: Knock A Ball Toy (7M4D)

19 December 2016 (7Y4D): For teaching object permanence in a fun way - drop a ball and see it roll down and come out from the bottom. At this stage, baby can't drop the ball herself yet, but may enjoy the ball rolling down the track. Our Little FECS could drop the ball himself, when he turned 1 year.

Toy of the Day: Basket of Balls (6M26D)

11 December 2016 (6M26D): I noticed that Baby FECS loves balls. Of all the toys, she sometimes will ignore the rest and go for the balls. She started by going after the little football. So I prepared a basket of balls for her to explore. She likes to try to grab hold of it, and she could grab hold of the football. It is good hand motor practice for her.

Playing "Basket Ball" with Toddler (From 2 Years Old)

Age: From 2 years old

Objective(s):  Train hand and eye coordination.

Materials:
1. 1 Ball
2. 1 wastepaper basket

Directions:
Use a wastepaper basket and show your toddler how you aim and throw the ball into the basket. Then encourage your toddler to try it.

Cost:
Plastic waste paper basket: 10 DKK (2.40 SGD) from Chao Chao.

Additional Information:
This is a cheap way to create a lot of fun. J (2Y1M6D) enjoyed this very much and we played this again this evening. He was laughing a lot whether the ball got into the basket or did not manage to get into the basket.
