This is a touch sensory experience for baby with leaf. J plucked this leaf from our balcony this morning and gave it to Baby C to feel and touch :-) Trust the little brother to think up of sensory activities for Baby :-)
23 October 2016 (5M7D): But the little rascal at 5 months old, is at the exploring stage and likes to mouth everything, so we had to take it away from her, and only let her touch with supervision. It would have been easier if she was 3 months old.
So often, Baby lies passively in the pram. I have not been using the pram as frequently, but I have been carrying her in the baby carrier that I wear. Then I suddenly thought of trying the pram this way by putting Baby on her tummy, and I love it. Here are the benefits:
1. It is good exercise for Baby, even better than baby activity gym. It gives Baby an interesting view of the world and will encourage Baby to lift his/her head up in order to get a better view.
2. It prevents flat head
3. I don't have to carry Baby all the time
4. Baby is happier to accept lying on her tummy (although I don't have this problem with Baby C, as she prefers to lie on her tummy than her back).
I should have thought of using the pram this way 7 years ago, as J absolutely disliked lying on his tummy. This would have encourage him to do so.
Well, better late than never!
Here is a video showing how much Baby FECS (3M12D) enjoyed observing the world goes by this way:
Objective:
1. To let Baby train hand and eye coordination by hitting or batting after the toys.
Additional Information:
This was J's favourite toy, thanks to Peter and Grace. J tried this on 20.7.2009 (4M15D), and allow mommy much breathing space. However, do not let Baby use this for long period.
Be careful that it is exersaucer, and not walker, as walker is deem as not safe by the experts.
Age: From 3 months and again from 6 months when Baby shows interest in holding things and banging things.
Objective: To stimulate baby's sense of touch
Additional Information:
At 3 months, Baby is too little to play with ice himself, but you can let him touch sand paper to stimulate his sense of touch.
