How to Make Energy Balls



Energy balls are easily made basically by mixing 1 part dry ingredients with 1 part wet ingredients and forming the dough into balls.

Ingredients:

1/3 part wet ingredients:

1. Sweetening agent of choice such as banana, honey, maple syrup, dried dates, blackstrap mollasses, etc.

2. Creamy agent of choice such as peanut butter, hazelnut butter, almond butter, cashew nut butter, Nutella, etc.

3. Bean paste of choice such as mung beans, adzuki beans, soybeans, kidney beans, navy beans, etc.

2/3 parts dry ingredients:

1. Seeds of choice such as flax seeds ground, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, sesame seeds, pine seeds, etc.

2. Chopped nuts of choice such as almonds, cashew nuts, hazelnuts, pecan, macadamia nuts, walnuts, etc.

3. Nutritious powder of choice such as cacao powder, carob powder, cinnamon powder, cardamon powder, vanilla powder, matcha powder, skimmed milk powder, brewer's yeast, etc.

4. Whole grain of choice such as rolled oats, rolled spelt, wheat germ, wheat bran, etc.

5. Dried fruit of choice such as strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, raisin, cranberries, coconut flakes, goji berries, etc.

6. Sweet treats of choice such as chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, etc.

Directions:

1. Combine and mix well wet ingredients and dry ingredients into a dough and form into balls.

2. Dust with cinnamon powder, cacao powder, oat powder or wheat germ (optional)

3. Enjoy or store in fridge for 5 days or freeze the rest

Here is one of our favorite combinations:

Makes 6 energy balls

Ingredients:

Dry ingredients (approx. 1/4 cup):

1. 1 almond
2. 1 cashew nut
3. 1 pecan
4. 1 walnut
5. 1 brazil nut
6. 1 tsp sunflower seeds
7. 1 tsp pumpkin seeds
8. 1 tsp chia seeds
9. 1 tsp ground flax seeds
10. 1 tsp hemp seeds
11. 1 tsp wheat germ
12. 1 tsp what bran
13. 1 tsp rolled oats
14. 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
15. 1/4 vanilla powder

Wet ingredients:

15. 1 dried date pitted
16. 1 TBS homemade Nutella

Dusting ingredients:

17. 1 tsp carob powder, cinnamon powder or wheat germ

Directions:

1. Combine and mix well wet ingredients and dry ingredients into a dough and form into balls.

2. Dust with cinnamon powder, cacao powder, oat powder or wheat germ (optional)

3. Enjoy or store in fridge for 5 days or freeze the rest

 Gather the dry ingredients

 Chop up the nuts with a knife

 Gather the wet ingredients - 1 dried date and 3 tablespoon of homemade Nutella

 Add all in a bowl

Mix and combine with a fork and spoon

Form into balls and enjoy :-)

Dust with cinnamon powder, cacao powder or wheat germ and enjoy :-)
