Objective(s): To train fine motor skill development.
Materials:
1. 2 basins with 1 half-filled with water
2. 1 washcloth
3. 1 tray
Directions:
1. Put the washcloth into the basin of water and show your child how to squeeze the water out by twisting it, saying, "this is how you squeeze a washcloth".
2. Encourage your child to try.
Video Demonstration:
J (2Y6M11D) was showing interest in squeezing washcloth during shower, so I let him try this today. He didn't have the strength to squeeze and couldn't do the twisting, but he was trying hard and doing his best :-)
C tried it on 13 November 2019 (3Y5M27D). She did it for a short while, but lost interest quickly :-( I think it was because I have tried this activity with her, when she was younger. Thus, the novelty wasn't there.
