At 4 years old, J could now practise more on his own. He was practising the scales, while mommy was busy preparing oatmeal breakfast, and today he perfected his scales.
I told him that it is all his own effort and hard work, and that he should be very proud of his perseverance. Having a taste of success as a result of hard work, he began to appreciate it more.
It also showed me that as I bring back a good structure and routine to the day, which has been defraying lately, it is helping J to trive. Having a secure structure and routine is very important in a child's development. It has been my belief and each time it is proving itself right, at least in our case.
