C Summary (3Y10M25D) - C Accepted Christ On Good Friday Today

J has accepted Christ, when he was around 3-4 years old during Good Friday or Easter. It was a miracle to me. I have been telling God, how I wish C would also accept Him early, like J. But I dare not hope for a second miracle.

Prior to the coronavirus, I tried my best to bring J and C to church on Sundays, although I haven't been reading as much Bible stories to C, compared to J at the age between 2-4 years old. This is partly because C's level of English isn't as strong as J at the same age. And C wasn't as interested in this Bible for kids, as J was, during bedtime story. When she sees pictures of Jesus being beaten, she doesn't want to hear more.

It was Good Friday today. I remembered listening to a podcast (https://www.reviveourhearts.com/podcast/revive-our-hearts/theology-three-year-olds/) in February while driving to work on how 3-4 years old children are actually very receptive to God. It is a reminder that we should continue to tell them about Jesus and the Bible, and not under-estimate their ability to understand. Since we were not able to go to church, the evening before, I told myself that I would read the story of Good Friday to the two kids.

I read that after breakfast. In the afternoon, I read it alone with C. C asked a lot of questions. Why did Jesus die? Why was He risen? Is Jesus in heaven? How did He rise to heaven? Where is Jesus now. I tried to explain to her. Then I asked her if she wanted to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She said, "Yes.". So I said the sinner's prayer with her. Unlike J, as I remembered, who looked into my eyes and shed tears as he prayed the sinner's prayer, C was just a more typical three years old. But she prayed and repeated each and every word as best as she could with me.

I went back to read my daily/blog post - J accepted Christ on Good Friday, and not Easter Day, as I remembered it to be. He was three years old, not four years old as I remembered. C is three years old and it is also Good Friday today that she accepted Christ into her life and prayed the sinner's prayer with me. C accepted Christ before she turned 4, and on Good Friday, just like J. I knew that it is God who has  granted me my request. He knew how much comfort it brought me. I hold it close to my heart. I know it is God telling me He will guard our children's hearts towards Him. I will trust Him to guide me, even though I have made so many mistakes along the way.

This is the same Children's Bible that I used to witness to C:

This was my diary recording the day J accepted Christ into his life:

Thank you God, for being our God, for being the God of our children.

The Bible says in Matthew 18:2-3:

"He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
