Coffee Ice-cream

Makes 4 - 5 portions


1. 1 TBS Nescafe coffee powder
2. 1/2 ripe avocado
3. 6 dried dates pitted
4. 1 cup (250 ml) skimmed fresh milk
5. 1 TBS hazelnut butter (optional)


1. Blend using a blender (I use Magimix blender under smoothie setting).
2. Transfer into ice-cream mold and freeze.

Additional Information:

Still on the subject of making ice-cream... I sometimes sneak in 1 teaspoon of rolled oats and three leaves of baby spinach when blending, and I won't taste the difference.

 Add 6 dried dates pitted into the blender

 1 tablespoon of Nescafe coffee powder

 1/2 ripe avocado

 1 cup (250 ml) fresh skimmed milk

I use the smoothie program to blend - 1 cycle.

 Add some nuts and chocolate chips as a topping if desired

 Add in the coffee blend

 Top with nuts and chocolate chips (optional)
