Ingredients:
- Pumpkin seeds
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 170 degree celsius.
2. Clean and dry the pumpkin seeds from fresh pumpkin (I did not rinse them as they were very clean already from the pumpkin that we scooped out. If the seeds stick to the guts, wash and rinse them).
3. Spread it on a tray or oven-proof dish - only single layer.
4. Roast for 20 minutes.
Additional Information:
This is my second attempt after being inspired by my friend. I totally burned the pumpkin seeds on my first attempt last year. Still, I roasted a little too long today - 30 minutes,as I thought that the outer shells didn't look roasted, but it tasted a little burned inside, but still ok. Apparently, the inner seeds cook faster than the outer shell according to this blog. I should roast it for only 20 minutes.
And to retain the natural goodness, according to The World's Healthiest Food, it should not be roasted for more than 20 minutes or higher than 170 degree celsius.
