Pasta with Peas & Ham

My mother-in-law, Birgitte's Recipe

Serves 4

Cooking & Preparation Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:
° 250g fresh spinach pasta
° 250g fresh tortellini with ham
° 350g ham torn into smaller pieces
° 1 cup of frozen peas
° 1 cup of frozen corns
° 250ml cream (9%)
° 200g grated mozzarella cheese or more to your taste
° Dash of grated nutmeg (muskatnød)
° 100ml low fat milk (optional)

Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to packet’s instructions.

2. Pre-warm oven to 200 degree Celsius.

3. Make the sauce in the pot by adding the cream and milk and warm it up (no. 6 on my stove).

4. Add dashes of nutmeg.

5. Add peas and corns.

6. Add ham and some cheese and stir well for 1-2 minutes.

7. Put a layer of spinach pasta on an oven-proof dish.

8. Pour in a layer of the sauce mixture.

9. Add another layer of the tortellini.

10. Add a layer of cheese on top.

11. Put it into the oven for 2 minutes or until the cheese on top turns golden.

12. Serve as it is or with salad and bread (optional)

Additional Information:
Florian cooked this as a surprise dish the other day. Joshua and I liked it a lot. So today, he has taught me how to prepare it :-)
