Use automatic utensils such as rice-cooker for cooking rice

I bought this from Tangs Departmental store in Singapore, but it is also sold in Denmark nowadays.

Compared with the advanced and fanciful electric rice cookers my friends use in Asia, this is considered a dinosaur...haha... but it is the cheapest I found in Tangs and it serves its purpose.

When the rice is cooked, the power is automatically switches to warm, and I don't have to worry about burnt rice.

You can also use the microwave, although I am not a big fan of it. I mainly use microwave to re-warm food.

Also place the rice in the cooker compartment already the night before and let it soak. It will help to cook brown rice faster, which typically takes a longer time to cook than white rice. That will save you time when you return from work. You just have to switch on the power when you are home from work the next day and wait for the rice to cook in 20-30 minutes.

Some rice cookers don't come with steamers. Do get those with a steamer and it helps you to multi-task when you are cooking your rice. Here are some rice cookers from amazon that come with steamers:
