Chicken Fried Rice/Kinesisk stegte ris med grøntsager og kylling/炒饭[chǎo fàn]


Serves 2.5 (2 adults and 1 baby over 1 year old)

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
- 1 packet of frozen fried rice and vegetables (contains frozen broccoli, green peas, corns, red pepper fruit and wild rice)
- 1-2 diced chicken breast or 150-250g boneless chicken meat
- 1-2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
- 2 TBS of cooking oil
- 1 egg

Directions:
1. Fry garlic until golden brown in a pan with cooking oil.

2. Add in chicken and egg and fry until cooked.

3. Add in the fried rice mix and stir until warm and serve :-)

Additional Comments:
Just found another quick way to save time when making fried rice. Føtex supermarket sells frozen vegetables with cooked frozen wild rice with no other added condiment or preservative. It’s very quick, easy and nutritious. Just have to add the meat. It is really yummy and J and I really love it. This is not for baby under 1 year old though, because salt is added in the rice already.

If you can’t get this product where you live, you can also use left over rice from the meal the day before to make fried rice.
